Our Story

I’ve always been deeply interested in health and wellness. I care about how the body works, how it adapts, and how small, natural supports can make a meaningful difference to how people feel day to day.

I wanted to bring something into people’s lives that genuinely supports their health. Something natural, practical, and easy to use. I also wanted people to come to know herbs better, to understand the supportive effects they can have on the body when they’re used thoughtfully and consistently.

This online store came into existence because of the response I was getting when I began selling my teas at the farmers’ markets. People would come back and tell me about the relief they felt in their digestion, the deeper sleep they were getting, or the improved focus they’d noticed. Hearing that my formulas were helping people in tangible ways was incredibly motivating, and something I felt very grateful for.

Herbal tea has been part of my own life for a long time. I’ve turned to herbal medicine in the form of teas to support my children, my husband and myself, well before I began creating formulas for my naturopathic clients. It’s always felt like one of the most natural and accessible ways to work with herbs, something that fits into real life without complication.

Today, I blend and package our teas on our regenerative farm, where I also run a pasture-raised egg business and actively consult with clients in my onsite naturopathic clinic. My days are immersed in nature and in real, practical health support, and I’m genuinely grateful to be able to share that with you through these teas.

The Loose Leaf has grown from that place. From a genuine love of herbal medicine, from real feedback, and from a desire to make supportive, well-formulated herbal teas available to more people.
